Create a handmade pocket amulet in this tutorial.
First print out the provided template, then cut, paint, fold and glue together your own fitted box for a base of the amulet. Embellish the top and bottom of box with textured polymer clay and a decorative edge. These boxes can be made larger, smaller, taller, and wider, by printing out a reduced or enlarged templates with your printer. This can then be traced onto other art papers. You could directly print onto specialty paper, but you would have to be careful trimming the lines. The paper you use should be thick card stock, brochure type or other art paper, including water color paper which is my preference. I have prefab box kits available in my shop as well as watercolor paper (you can always message me)
Use a complimenting color if intending to decorated the box with polymer clay and/or beads
Another Matchbox tutorial "Inner Sanctum Amulets" will go more in depth about finishing and personalizing these handmade boxes, covering them fully with polymer clay, antiquing, various of stringing and beading options, decorative elements for the top and bottom, as well as the inner part of the box.
